Meetings
Calls arranged in advance, held in the conversation they concern rather than in a separate invitee list.
A meeting is not a new kind of thing. It is a call with a time on it, held in the conversation it belongs to, so a meeting about a matter lives in that matter's channel and is attended by the people on that matter.
That removes the invitee list, and with it two familiar problems: a list that drifts out of step with who is actually working on the file, and the possibility of being invited to a meeting about a matter you are not allowed to see.
