Firm, departments & staff
The firm's own shape (branches, departments and staff), configured rather than assumed.
The firm record is what everything else is scoped to, and the structures under it (branches, departments, reporting lines) are what the approval chains and the analytics scopes are derived from. Getting them right is not administration; it is what makes the rest behave.
A firm's own role and permission configuration is its business. The platform does not add guardrails around how a firm chooses to arrange its own authority.
Structure
- Branches within a firm, and departments within it
- Staff belonging to one or several departments
- Reporting lines, from which approval authority is derived live rather than stamped onto records
Staff
- Profiles carrying specialisation, availability and contact details
- Salary profile, leave balance, appraisal history and learning record attached to the same person
Identity and branding
- One email and password can sign into several firms, with each firm holding its own separate record of that person
- Firm logo, theme and invoice design applied across the product, the client portal, invoices and emails
- A firm never falls back to platform branding: an unbranded firm shows its own absence, not somebody else's logo
