Leads

Someone the firm may turn into a client, recorded once and followed up.

A lead is the stage before a client: a business card from a conference, a form filled in at an event, a name passed on by a partner. Firms usually keep these in whoever's notebook collected them, which is why they are never followed up.

Every lead is tidied and checked the same way however it arrives, so the same person recorded twice does not become two records.

Capture

  • First and last name, work email, company and phone
  • Source recorded on every lead, so the firm can tell which channels work
  • One lead per email address per firm, so the same person collected twice does not become two records
